Join us Wednesday, August 26th for a fully hands-on cooking class with Amanda Ivy. Every tamale class with Amanda is a different experience, but typically include three fully distinct tamale recipes/styles/variations. Each class includes classic corn masa with pork filling. The other two styles are different at each class have featured everything from local Arkansas Delta tamales to traditional Christmas dessert tamales and modern takes like a southern remix: vegan tamales with sweet potato masa and collard greens instead of corn husks. Every class features different tamales in addition to the classic masa and braised pork!
Classes typically run for two hours, and include all dishes you and the chef prepare. Our hands on classes are offered at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. This page is for the 11 a.m. class.
You’ll be offered a glass of wine and provided with water. You’re welcome to bring any beverage of your choice for the rest of the evening. Fully-hands on classes are $65 per seat. Reserve a spot by calling us at 501-664-6900 or checking-out right here in our online store!
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our classes have a lower cap than ever before- and thus sell out even faster than they did before. If you are part of a larger party please let us know so we can properly arrange our distanced seating accommodations.

Amanda Ivy is one of her house favorite's here at eggshells: her hands-on classes always sell-out! Around town she has been the opening chef at several restaurants including Heights Taco&Tamale and Sauced. She's also been featured on the food network and competed in Diamond Chef Arkansas!
