After much debate over how often this dish actually gets prepared in our house, I decided last night was to be the night. The reviews were stellar. According to Sarah, "It's like the first time, every time."
4 oz soy sauce
1/4 T fresh ginger
1/4 C brown sugar
1/4 C sherry
1/2 T maple syrup
1/3 C rice wine vinegar
2 T Sugar
1/2 red onion
(slice thin and let rest for at least 10 minutes)
6 parts mayo
1 part sriracha
Cube and avocado and 1 lb sashimi tuna. Once all components are prepared, create layers in a food ring.
I would argue that the order should be avocado, red onion, cucumber, wonton, tuna, glaze, red onion, cucumber, tuna, glaze, wonton, spicy mayo.
