Budaejjigae (pronounced boo-day-jih-gae) is often referred to as "Army Stew" because it's creation dates back to the Korean War. Traditionally, it is a combination of foods from Korean Military Bases like gochujang and kimchi and surplus foods from American Military Bases like hot dogs, Spam, and beans.
