Join us Wednesday, September 9, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 pm, for a cooking class with Chef Megan Kessler and learn how to make two classic American sandwiches, the Cubano and the Reuben.

The Cubano is a toasted, pressed sandwich that originated around the turn of the 20th century in Florida's Cuban immigration communities. It is a variation of a ham and cheese sandwich that combines mojo-marinated roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and mustard, served on crispy, buttered Cuban bread.

Whether you believe the Reuben originated in NYC around 1914, or in Omaha, Nebraska around 1920, the Reuben is a grilled sandwich comprised of corned beef, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Russian or Thousand Island dressing, grilled between slices of rye bread.  Although often associated with kosher-style delis, it is not kosher.

Classes typically run for two hours, and include all dishes you and the chef prepare.

You will be provided a glass of wine (red or white) and water to drink, or you may bring beverages of your own. We do sell soft drinks, mineral water and some other beverages at Eggshells, as well.  Reserve a spot by calling us at 501-664-6900 or checking out right here in our online store!

If you are part of a larger party please let us know.

All ticket sales are final.  Due to food prep, planning, different chefs and food costs, tickets cannot be transferred to any future classes.  You may transfer your seat to someone else for the same date/class.
