Join us Saturday, October 18, 2025 for a cooking class with Chef Gilbert Alaquinez as he brings you Sourdough Part 2.  You will be using the Sourdough Starter you made in Part 1 to learn even more about Sourdough!  (If you do not have a starter from Part 1, you may still participate.)

This class will focus on mixing and handling the dough, bulk fermentation, shaping and scoring the dough, and the baking process.

** Sourdough Part 1 will be held October 4th and 5th as we have limited seating. Sourdough Part 2 Classes will be held on October 18th and 19th, again due to limited seating.

Classes typically run for two hours, from 6-8 pm, and include all dishes you and the chef prepare.

You will be offered a glass of wine and provided with water. You are welcome to bring any beverage of your choice for the rest of the evening, and we do sell soft drinks, mineral water and other beverages.

Reserve a spot by calling us at 501-664-6900 or checking out right here in our online store!

If you are part of a larger party please let us know.

All ticket sales are final.  Due to food prep, planning, different chefs and food costs, tickets cannot be transferred to any future classes.  You may transfer your seat to someone else for the same date/class.

More about the Chef:

Gilbert is originally from San Antonio, TX where he started his cooking career at age 16. Since joining the Little Rock culinary scene, he has worked as Sous Chef at the Peabody Hotel and Chef at the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion under Governor Beebe. He was Executive Chef at the Clinton Library where he cooked for dignitaries and celebrities alike. He was also private chef to President and Secretary Clinton while they visited Little Rock. Gilbert’s style of cooking is a mix of Latin, French, and Asian techniques, and flavors, while still incorporating tastes from the south. Gilbert also volunteers his time cooking for fundraising events throughout the city for a variety of community organizations.

We are thrilled to have him join the Eggshells Family!
