Join us Friday, January 23, 2026, from 6:00-8:00 pm for a cooking class with Angela and Alan Mahan of Rabbit Ridge Farms as they bring you Twice as Nice Pork Night - a creative, flavor-packed class that teaches you how to turn one pork loin into two delicious meals
Get ready to fall in love with the versatility of pork! In Twice as Nice Pork Night, you’ll learn how to season, roast, and slice a juicy pork loin to serve with a set of fresh, flavorful sides perfect for weeknight meals or special gatherings.
But we won’t stop there. The next day, those same leftovers get a total makeover as we transform the pork and the sides into a vibrant, build-your-own Next-Day Power Bowl—layered with textures, sauces, and store-favorite ingredients that make leftovers feel brand new.
You’ll learn:
-
How to prepare and cook a pork loin so it stays tender every time
-
Easy, versatile sides that stretch into next-day meals
-
How to safely and creatively repurpose leftovers into delicious bowls
-
Saucing, layering, and flavor-boosting tips
- Recipes you can take home and use again and again
-
A delicious meal enjoyed together
You’ll leave with two complete meal ideas and the confidence to make your pork loin work harder for you—all while saving time, money, and effort in the kitchen.
Classes typically run for two hours and include all dishes you and the chef prepare.
You will be provided with water to drink, and we do sell soft drinks, mineral water and some other beverages at Eggshells, but you are also welcome to bring any beverage of your choice.

More about the Chefs:
Angela Mahan brings together a rare blend of hospitality, education, and good old-fashioned farm know-how. With a doctorate in adult education and a passion for teaching people where their food really comes from, Angela has become a beloved voice in Arkansas for simple cooking, regenerative agriculture, and reconnecting families to real food. At Rabbit Ridge Farms, she leads everything from curriculum design for school field trips to farm-to-table dining experiences. Angela is known for her warm personality, practical cooking style, and ability to turn even the most intimidated home cook into a confident one. Whether she’s teaching a classroom of kids or hosting a sold-out dinner, her mission is the same: create community through agriculture and food.
Farmer Alan is the engine that keeps Rabbit Ridge Farms running. A lifelong cattleman with a deep respect for the land, Alan raises cows, pigs, chickens, and sheep on pasture using regenerative practices that build soil health and create some of the cleanest, most flavorful meat you can buy. Known for his straightforward wisdom, dry humor, and big heart, Alan has become a favorite among visitors to the farm—especially kids who love hearing “Farmer Alan stories.” He believes farming should be transparent, humane, and grounded in old-school values, and everything he does reflects that. Alan’s specialty? Producing exceptional meat through low-stress, ethical care—and reminding people why knowing their farmer matters.
Angela and Alan have built Rabbit Ridge Farms into a place where great food, good stewardship, and community meet. Whether they’re serving dinner at the farm, teaching a cooking class, or sharing stories from their regenerative farm, they’re committed to helping people feel connected—to their food, the land, and each other. We are very pleased to have them here at Eggshells!
